Troy Davis is a problem-solver, a thinker, a social entrepreneur and a consultant. He is a French citizen and a world citizen and was born in Strasbourg, France into a family of international renown. Troy inherited his parents' passion for human rights and environmental concerns.

He is currently the president of the World Citizen Foundation. It is his goal to see citizens of this world free from harm, poverty and ignorance. Troy believes that a necessary (though not sufficient) part of the answer to solving today's problems is to "upgrade" the present obsolete international political system based in nationalism and diplomacy, to one based on the democratic rule of law. Therefore, what is needed is a collective effort to invent a new form of representative and constitutional democracy at the world level, a World Democracy with constitutional safeguards, based on peace rather than war.

Troy believes that this can be done relatively quickly on an historical scale, i.e. 10 years or so, as the world is hungry for a positive solution to the challenges of economic globalization which is not managed in the interests of the people today.

Troy has leading positions or is a member in several organizations:

Troy is also a registered voter and participated in the first direct global elections in history (organized by ICANN - the "world government" of the Internet).
